Allwyn celebrates 25 independent National Lottery retailers who ‘Share the Win’ with £158,000 in prizes

The 25 store owners scoop prizes ranging from £10,000 to £2,000 depending on the size of the ‘high tier’ National Lottery win in their store.

Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, is celebrating 25 lucky independent National Lottery retailers who’ve been transformed into winners and awarded a total of £158,000 in its ‘Share the Win’ retailer rewards initiative.

The scheme, which launched in November 2024, recognises retailers who sell high tier (£50,000 or more) winning National Lottery tickets – like EuroMillions, Lotto, and Thunderball, or National Lottery Scratchcards. The amount awarded to each retailer is linked to the size of the player’s win, and the scheme is open to all retailers where the winning ticketholder is happy to share details of their win.

The three ‘Share the Win’ prize tiers for retailers are:

- Gold tier - wins of £1m or more will net lucky retailers the top prize of £10,000.

- Silver tier - wins of between £250,000 up to £1m will be worth £5,000 to shop owners.

- Bronze tier - wins of between £50,000 up to £250,000 will see retailers pocket £2,000.

A total of 12 independent National Lottery retailers were awarded £10,000 each by Allwyn for selling winning tickets worth £1m or more, including Dervis Ali Soyler who owns Grays All Foods in Grays. His store sold a ticket that went on to win £1m in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker, resulting in Dervis being awarded the £10,000 gold tier prize.

Dervis said: “I’m so happy and excited – it's such a great prize to win. I’ll use some of the money to take my family on a really nice holiday. And I’ll also be rewarding the staff for all their hard work and helping to sell The National Lottery in the store.”

Four National Lottery retailers scooped the £5,000 silver tier prize. They included Jagit Kaur Chahal, owner of Premier Queensway Stores in Kettering, whose store sold a £300,000 winning Scratchcard.

Jagit said: “It was a great feeling to find out that someone in my store had won such a huge prize, which also meant that I’d won £5,000 myself. The money will make a huge difference, starting with helping me with an upcoming trip to Dubai for a wedding that I’m attending.”

Meanwhile, nine National Lottery retailers took home the £2,000 bronze tier prize – including Sujit Patel, owner of Prospect News Stores in Corsham, whose store sold a Set For Life ticket that went on to win a whopping £10,000 every month for a year.

Sujit said: “I’m absolutely over the moon with the win. I can use the money on store improvements and on my family.”

Allwyn's Director of Commercial Partnerships and Retail Sales, Alison Acquaye-Acford, said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be celebrating 25 new ‘Share the Win’ winners! Massive congratulations to each of them. With £158,000 awarded by Allwyn to independent National Lottery retailers, we’re extending that winning feeling and good fortune further than ever before. It’s wonderful that winners like Dervis, Jagit and Sujit – and retailers all over the UK – are helping us to raise around £30m each and every week for National Lottery-funded projects, while being in with a chance of scooping huge prizes simply by selling tickets.”

In addition to the cash prizes, winning retailers will receive new in-store activation kit – including a special ‘Big Winner Made Here’ poster and wall plaque, and for gold tier winners, a gold ‘Millionaire Made Here’ Playstation.

With more Share the Win awards due in the coming months, National Lottery retailers can head to the National Lottery Retailer Hub – https://tnlpartners.co.uk – to ensure they're opted-in and don't miss out on this exciting opportunity.
