Giving back lies at the heart of Allwyn. We believe in helping lotteries maximise funding, so they can support communities around the world. From building children’s hospitals in Greece to promoting school sport in the Czech Republic, we’re always striving to support our local communities.
We always want to increase the amount of money invested in Good Causes. Being able to give back to communities has been a major factor in us taking over struggling lotteries. Our significant returns to governments via taxation and lottery duties have helped fund a wide range of social projects.

We’re working towards a better future. Each cause we support is tailored to its community and the needs of the local people. Since we started, Allwyn has overseen significant returns to national and local governments across our European markets. We’ve increased support for Good Causes by 15% since 2015 – that’s equivalent to over €2bn in government funds for Good Causes.
Allwyn maximises returns to Good Causes in two ways:

Allwyn has an impact in each market it operates in. We’ve promoted public health in Greece, implemented sports programmes in the Czech Republic, supported a number of health and research initiatives in Austria, and restored heritage sites and provided internships in Italy. We’re always looking for new ways to give back.
We know what it takes to grow lotteries safely and sustainably. We tailor our brands to their local markets, and ensure they’re run by market-leading teams from their country, who understand the latest market trends.
Our lotteries have produced significant growth in each of our markets over the last five years. We’ve achieved this by embracing the power of digital technology, growing our retail networks, and actively engaging with our communities.
The Allwyn UK brand supports these approaches. It can also draw from a wealth of experience from across all our markets. These include 64,000 points of sale, industry-leading digital platforms, and a total potential market of over 79 million adults, with annual sales of over €17bn.

SAZKA Olympic Multi-Contest
We believe there is a sport for everyone, but limited accessibility often prevents children from discovering the right one for them. SAZKA’s programme in Czech schools addresses this, by empowering 150,000 children to participate annually in activities designed to help them identify a sport they enjoy.
Sports around you
Allwyn built upon its school programme by ensuring children could dedicate extra-curricular time to their newfound sporting passion. The Group did this by creating a portal allowing parents to locate clubs and events near their home, serving 300,000 users on an annual basis.
Allwyn fund the training of over 100 young talents and connect them with internships in institutions across Italy. The project has established a valuable network between institutions, universities and corporations.
Allwyn provide mentorship programmes to young entrepreneurs in Greece and offer networking opportunities that open access to investment. Forty companies have increased their turnover by 21% (€60 million), creating thousands of new jobs.
Allwyn’s “Sport Academies” programme is designed to make children more active and celebrate the values of sport. Allwyn currently support 128 football academies and 50 basketball academies across Greece.
